First time here and really impressed! We came in on a Saturday around noon and, while it was pretty full, we were still able to grab a seat without a wait. You order at the front and then your food comes out fairly quickly, super efficient. We started with the chips and guac--so fresh and flavorful! And only $6? Definitely ordering that again. I got the breakfast burrito and it was a solid YES. Huge, packed with flavor, and had great texture (loved the bit of crunch from the potatoes). My friend also ordered a breakfast taco - only $4 and still super filling, cheesy, and topped with a chipotle crema that tied it all together. Bonus points for their kid-friendly vibes. Kids meals were just $3.50, and a waitress even came around offering toys from a toy chest, which was such a sweet touch. Staff was very kind and welcoming. Would absolutely come back if I'm ever on that side of town again!
Got the Buenos Dias breakfast burrito with Al Pastor and it was PHENOMMMMENAL. Great portions and fresh meat. Flavors were immaculate. The ambiance inside is amazing with a tropical Arizona style feel with great music as well. Will most definitely be returning!
Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and quick. Its a rea cute place with indoor and outdoor sitting. Why did I not come sooner!
I was craving some chicken and waffles and saw that this spot had some so I finally decided to check it out. Can't believe I waited so long to try this place! The interior is decorated nicely and has a southwestern kind of vibe, perfect for a cute little breakfast date. We ordered the horchata chicken and waffles, al pastor breakfast burrito, and a side of house mexi potatoes. Everything was exceptional but we really loved the breakfast burrito. It was super flavorful and loved that the tortilla was nice and crisp on the outside. The horchata chicken and waffles were also good and had a more unique flavor than your average. They also have lunch & dinner which I would love to try as well. Will definitely be coming back.
The overall vibe was super cute and cozy. The tacos were very tasty and the chicken and waffles were to die for!! Their horchata was also very fresh and not too milky. I would come back !
My husband and I loved it so much we went there two days in a row. Food was delicious. Highly recommend their chicken and waffles. Chicken was made to perfection. Taco Tuesday - all tacos $3.50, you can't beat that. And they all authentic, full of flavor and plenty of protein! Their ambiance is lovely. Very well thought out and inviting. Perfect for brunch and lunch dates.
The food was amazing. We got the mango pan cakes to share, birria Papa bowl and the Buenos dias burrito. The Pancakes were out of this world but I did have the Chamoy put on the side... come to find out it's a flavorful, light Chamoy syrup which sounds and tastes 10000 times better than regular sour/ spicy Chamoy. Def recommend The Birria Papa Bowl was packed with meat, thinnly sliced potatoes and a over easy egg on top. I added jalapeño for a bit more crunch and kick. It was perfect The burrito was $14 and it was just the burrito.... no side came with the burrito which seems a smidge steep, but it was big and tasty. You don't have a server but you kinda do??? It made it a smidge odd when it came to tipping... at the beginning. When you walk in, there's no sign that says seat yourself instead, you're welcomed by a check out register and confusion. You look at the menu before you sit down, place your order at the register and then find your seat. The server will run your food but didn't check on us. Don't forget to buy your drinks when you first order or you'll have to grab it from the fridge and repay. When we wanted hot sauce or anything for our meal we had to get up and go ask her, then once your meal is done, you clean your own table and return any condiments to the register. It reminded me of a fast food system sadly. The food is very good here but this kinda killed the cute breafast vibe for us. The lady that took our order was very sweet though.
Yelp Review 2025 #5: A nice neighborhood Mexican restaurant located on Decatur and the 215. A mom & pop restaurant. They call themselves "modern Mexican" so, it's more like Americanized Mexican food which is not entirely horrible if done right. To cite some examples, they have Churro French Toast, Horchata Chicken & Waffles, Jalapeño Breakfast Sando, fruit bowls with granola, and smoothies. Grab a menu, pick what you want, go to the counter to place your order and pay, get a number, grab a table. In that order. I wanted to eat something with vegetables for brunch but they didn't really have that aside from romaine lettuce for their salad bowl. So, I got tacos! Crispy Cheese Carne Asada Taco: Crispy cheese, carne asada, onion & cilantro mix, avocado crema. Tender and juicy meat. The sauces highlighted the flavor of the meat. The tortilla was evidently homemade. The crispy cheese was a very nice touch. It gave it a light crunch. I want all tacos with crispy cheese from now on! 5/5 Salmon Taco: Salmon, pineapple/mango salsa, avocado crema. Salmon was cooked perfectly without being dry. It wasn't fishy. I've never had a salmon taco so, I gave it a try. 4/5 Buenos Burrito: Choice of protein, rice, pinto beans, pico, crispy cheese, crema. Chorizo was the protein of choice although it's not listed on the menu. Amazing burrito. It's packed and full of delicious stuff. I've had burritos that were 50% tortilla! No bueno!Again, that crispy cheese just mmmm...mmmm...mmmm! 5/5 The food is reasonably priced. Service was friendly. Interior is quite nice. Only negative is that they don't clear tables right away and they don't clean tables well.
This place is AMAZING! High quality food and so much flavor. Their breakfast menu also looked fabulous but I got lunch today. This Birria Tacos were my favorite. I got 2 of those and 1 carne sago taco. The horchata cold brew was delicious and the coffee bar had some great options for adding a little love to it. I like that there were plenty of places to sit and a mix of tables and booths. The decor and interior design is very nice. There was about a 45 min wait today but it seemed like less time, either way it was worth it. Highly recommend! I'll be back.
We were originally going to go to Chicago Guys Pizza on a Thursday after shopping at Costco, but for some reason, their restaurant wasn't open! Looking for other places in the Decatur/215 area, my husband and I stumbled upon Buenos Dias! Buenos Dias is located in the shopping plaza near Walmart, Popcorn Girl, and GameStop. There is plenty of parking spots available. Current hours for Buenos Dias is from Monday - Sunday from 8:00 A.M - 9:00 P.M. Their restaurant offers a wide range of breakfast items, bowls, smoothies, as well as lunch and dinner options! On their menu, some of their options include the following Breakfast Tacos Burritos Churro French Toast Mango Pancakes Acai Bowls Horchata Peanut Butter Smoothie Birria Rolled Tacos Chicken Wings and so much more! We ended up ordering from their lunch and dinner menu! I ended up having [2] Tacos. The Carne Asada Taco included carne asada, onion and cilantro mix. It came with avocado crema, but I opted to have it on the side, so I could put the crema on the taco. The other taco I had was the Al Pastor. The Al Pastor included marinated pork, onion, cilantro, grilled pineapple, pickled red onions. I also asked to have the avocado crema on the side for this taco as well! My husband ended up getting the [3] taco lunch combo! The tacos were delicious! The Al Pastor was sweet and spicy! When I first took a bite of the taco, you could taste the sweetness of the pineapple, but then was spicy! It was scrumptious! The carne asada taco was good, but I did like the Al Pastor taco better! There was plenty of asada inside the taco! The asada was tender and juicy too! All of the food tasted fresh and homemade! We didn't eat inside the restaurant and ended up taking our order to-go. We do plan on stopping by and eating inside the restaurant next time though! The service was great!
